HUNTING NEWS The 2023-2024- Hunting and Trapping season is right around the corner. Before engaging in hunting at the club or anywhere else in Ohio this year please take some time to review the Ohio Hunting and Trapping regulations with the link below. If you didn't know you can purchase your license and tags online through the ODNR portal. See the link below to limit your time out in public and maximize your time outdoors!

Before any Hunting at the Club can take place, and in accordance with Weslaco’s Ranges/Hunting Safety Plan, all hunters, guest hunters; and walkers must have successfully completed a State of Ohio Hunter Education Safety Course. Furthermore, they must forward the Certificate of Completion to the Club Secretary. All who are Hunting MUST wear at least a Hunter Orange Vest/Jacket and Cap.

Firearm Safety Reminders

ALWAYS THINK FIREARM SAFETY!
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
 This is the primary rule of gun safety.

2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
 When holding a gun, rest your finger alongside the frame and outside the trigger guard.

3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
 If you do not know how to open the action or inspect the chamber(s), leave the gun alone and get help from someone who does.
 
4. ALWAYS remember to wear eye and ear protection on all Weslaco gun ranges.
